The manufacturing will increase in size by more than 2500 square meters for the assembly hall. The Surface Finish Centre will also be expanded by 640 square meters. The total investment for the project will work out to be approximately ₤ 10 million.
Chief Executive Officer for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Torsten Muller-Otvos, said, ““I am very pleased to announce our expansion plans. We continue to see increased demand from customers all over the world and the new facilities will allow us to increase the capacity for our hand-built, highly personalised motor cars. This investment demonstrates our confidence in this unique brand, our commitment to our Home at Goodwood - the only place in the world where Rolls-Royce motor cars are built - and signals the next phase in the development of our company.”
The new space and infrastructure in the only place on earth where Rolls-Royce cars are made will allow the company’s manufacturing rate and bespoke operations to expand significantly. The expansion means that discerning Rolls-Royce customers will be able to tailor more unique bits for their cars. As for Rolls-Royce, they will be able to hand craft more cars and match the rising demand curve to their supply curve.
