Well first off-the M6-the third generation(yes third and if you think not-look up the BMW E24) looks great. So the arrival of the M6 is always big. Now we know full well that the M6 is a 2 door M5. And again-it has the same 4,4 liter twin turbo V8 with 555 bhp. It has the same dual clutch gearbox. So the extra price buys you 2 less doors, and 4 seats instead of 5. The major differences-you get a convertible which unlike mostconvertibles hasn’t gained pretty much any weight becoming a convertible.
And the hardtop gets a carbon fiber roof so the center of gravity is lower. Which should make it faster around a corner than the M5. Unlike the M5 however instead of gaining weight it has lost 76 kilos. So it will be even faster. The official performance figures claim acceleration from 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 4.2 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) with the M Sport package. The design style is similar to all recent M cars.
The front of the car has a newly designed M kidney grille with an “M6” badge – a homage to the first generation M6.
