Mercedes CLA 45 AMG Hits the 400PS Mark, Courtesy of Brabus

For most people, the Mercedes CLA 45 AMG has plenty of power and sporty enough looks. Not for Brabus, though, as the German aftermarket specialist has released a styling kit for the most powerful CLA model.
Brabus’ styling package features subtle upgrades including black alloy wheels with red inserts, matching carbon fiber mirror caps, as well as rear decklid and roof spoilers. Red trim matching the exterior accents are visible on the inside.
For those unhappy with the CLA 45 AMG’s 355 horsepower (360PS), Brabus offers the PowerXtra B45 software upgrade for the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that increases output to 394 hp (400PS). Torque is also boosted from 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) to 500 Nm (369 lb-ft).
With its newly found power, the CLA sprints from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.2 seconds – 0.2 seconds faster than the standard Mercedes CLA 45 AMG.

The performance upgrade is also available for the Mercedes A 45 AMG. The Brabus PowerXtra CGI B45 consists of an additional control unit which is adapted to the engine management. It gets connected to the standard engine harness by the delivered plug & play wiring harness.

A Fresh Batch of Mercedes-Benz S63 Coupe Photos

We would have liked to see AMG's new performance edition of the Mercedes S-Class Coupe in a bigger variety of colors, but for now, we'll have to make do with these fresh pictures we found showing the S63 AMG Coupe in a silver hue with a hint of blue, and a gunmetal grey shade on the outside, plus a look at the beige and brown two-tone interior theme.
We've added the 17 new pictures to the existing gallery of photos initially released by Mercedes on Wednesday right below the jump.
You can read all about the S63 AMG Coupe in our post here, with the short story being that it comes with the same 5.5-liter bi-turbocharged V8 packing 577hp (585PS) and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) as the sedan, for a brisk 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) in 4.3 seconds when only the rear wheels push the car, and 3.9 seconds when opted with Merc's 4MATIC all-wheel drive.

Its world premiere will take place in New York this April, with first customer deliveries planned for September.
