Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 officially makes its public debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show

The Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 is all set to succeed its predecessor, the Lamborghini Gallardo, which rocked the roads for almost a decade. The Gallardo was Lamborghini’s most successful model in its forty years run with sales of 14,022 units. The Italian car manufacturer claims to have raked over 1,000 bookings for their Huracan even before its official launch in the past two months.

The Lamborghini Huracan borrows its design cues from its bigger brother- the Aventador. The car flaunts bold exteriors with smooth silhouette. Up front, it gets full LED headlamps, which the Italian manufacturer claims are a first in this class of supercars. The new car sits on 20-inch wheels and is stopped via carbon-ceramic brakes.

Angular sills protruding in the front of rear wheel arches are responsible for the car’s lower cooling. A wide outlet runs through the posterior of the car from its rear ends, and provides ventilation to the engine bay. The four line diffuser is flanked by twin tail pipes at either ends.

The Lamborghini Huracán is already a star in itself by obtaining 700 orders in a month even before an unfinished month-long preview held across the world for their VIP clients. The descendant of the iconic Gallardo - Lamborghini’s best-selling car till date, has thus kickstarted this year with pomp.

The Huracan follows an edgy design and has bold lines that clearly define its front and rear ends. The slats in the rear windshield remind us of the legendary Miura. The stylishly done headlights and front bumpers add a sporty charm to its sleek looks.

The Lamborghini Huracán boasts of a 610PS, 5.2-litre normally-aspirated V10 engine, which allows it to reach a top speed of 325kmph and accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 3.2 seconds.

The Huracán will make a grand debut on March 4, at the Swiss motor show, flaunting its ‘Star of the show’ candidature. It will be unveiled by Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO, Lamborghini.

Lamborghini was founded in 1963 in Italy. Their iconic Gallardo redefined the standards of the luxury sports cars. With 129 dealerships across the world and cars such as 350 GT, Miura, Espada, Countach, Diablo and Murciélago to name a few, this Italian car maker continues to romp the market.

$4.1 Million Lamborghini Veneno Delivered to Manager's House in South Beach, Miami

Lamborghini announced that it would be making three Veneno road-going cars that it would actually offer to customers. Now, one of those three cars has found a home, in the hands of Mr. Kris Singh, who is the manager of a private investment firm.

The car came to him on a flatbed and night fell upon them as they were unloading it. Apparently, it has the chance of becoming one of history’s most expensive retail car sales, with a price of $4,106,000 or €3,012,000.

 

Ludicrously expensive, no matter what it is, how rare it is or how crazy the styling is. Mr. Singh will definitely be the proud owner of a very rare car. However, in all fairness, there are other, cheaper cars that match it for panache, beat its performance but seriously undercut it on price – Pagani Huayra anybody, or even one of the last Bugatti Veyrons too, or are those just profane now?

Lamborghini Urus SUV to be ready by 2017

Lamborghini's much-awaited SUV, the Urus will be production ready and available by 2017

Lamborghini’s much awaited spiritual successor to the legendary LM001 SUV of the 80’s, the Lamborghini Urus is said to make its production debut in 2017. According to Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winklemann, the Urus, first previewed at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2012 will be ready to be produced and available to the public by 2017 as per internal Lamborghini timelines. 

The Lamborghini Urus SUV is said to feature major body panels crafted out of carbon fibre making it substantially lighter than other similar SUVs. The Lamborghini Urus will be based on the next generation Audi Q7 platform, which will also be the basis for the next generation Volkswagen Touareg and the new Porsche Cayenne. The Lamborghini Urus is also said to feature a lot of technology shared by Bentley’s new flagship SUV.

DMC's New Lamborghini Aventador LP988 Edizione GT Teased

These teasers of a menacing-looking Lamborghini Aventador coupe dressed in a racy black outfit come to us courtesy of German sports- and luxury-car tuner DMC, which has prepared a new package for the Italian supercar under the "LP988 Edizione GT" moniker.

While very few details have been released about DMC's third tuning project for the Aventador after the Molto Veloce (Stage 1) and Limited Edition SV (Stage 2), there's more to the moniker than simply numbers, as the aftermarket firm's naming system usually refers to output figures.

Therefore, the LP988 should correspond to 988PS or 975hp, up from the stock model's 700PS or 690hp.

It's official! Huracan is Lamborghini's Gallardo replacement

The Huracan develops 610 HP from its 5.2-litre V10 engine, has a 325kph top speed and hits 0-100kph in just 3.2 seconds!

Lamborghini has revealed pictures and details of the Huracan within a month of the end to the Gallardo’s production. The car will make it’s public debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2014. 

The Huracan derives its name, as the tradition goes, from a famous Spanish bull, known for ‘its courage and strong sense of attack.’ While the Huracan is expected to tear up corners like every Lambo does, the company says that this time, it won’t be a handful on road as the car will have easy-to-drive road behaviour.

Lamborghini tractors to launch in India

After delivering some stunning performance sports car, Lamborghini is now bringing its tractors in India on December 12.

First launched in 1950's Lamborghini tractors have a long history and are available under SAME Deutz-Fahr (SDF) group-an Italy-based manufacturer of farm equipments since 1973. Under the same brand, Lamborghini tractors will be launched in India on December 12 in Pune at the Agri Kisan exhibition.

Out of the four brands SAME, Deutz-Fahr, Lamborghini and Hurlimann, that the SDF Group has, it sells only the Deutz-Fahr brand in India currently.

The 2014 Lamborghini Veneno Roadster made its highly anticipated debut on an aircraft carrier in Abu Dhabi.

Priced at a whopping Rs. 28.56 crore (£2.8 million), this new Italian supercar-the 2014 Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, one of only nine to be made, was shown on the flight deck of the 240meter Italian military aircraft center.

Lamborghini Unveils Veneno Roadster on Aircraft Carrier to People who Can Actually Afford It

While the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster broke cover in October, the car’s first public outing didn’t take place until December 1, when the exclusive supercar was unveiled to potential customers on the Italian naval aircraft carrier Nave Cavour docked in Abu Dhabi’s Mina Zayed port.

The flight deck of the 240-meter (787-ft) ship was a fitting venue for the drop-top Veneno, of which only nine will be produced. The exclusive “Italian Evening” event was attended by authorities, clients, VIPs and media.

“Lamborghini has an extremely strong following in the region for its super sports cars, with the Middle East one of our largest markets in the world,” Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann explained the unusual launch event.

Experience the Vector M12 – America’s Mid-Nineties’ Lamborghini

The Vector M12 is a very rare supercar built in the United States between 1995 – 1999 in only 17 examples (not 14 as the video title would have you believe). Its body looked Italian, even though it was not, but the chassis and engines were both derived from those used in the period Lamborghini Diablo supercar.

Power from the 5.7-liter V12 engine was rated at around 490 hp, while torque was around 576 Nm, or 425 lb-ft; the benchmark sprint came up in a mediocre 4.8 seconds, while top speed was a more acceptable 304 km/h or 190 mph.

The video posted below shows two of these uber-rare fiberglass-bodied machines, one of which is wearing the US stars and stripes, being featured in magazines back in the day, while the other one is yellow. The latter is the car that is driven, and while it may lack the purity of the true Italians, it still looks very interesting, even all these years after it was launched and quickly phased out due to its high price.

After 10 years and 14,022 units produced, the last ever ‘best-selling Lamborghini ever’ has rolled off the line at the Sant’Agata Bolognese assembly line. Unveiled at the 2003 Geneva Motor show, the Gallardo renewed Lamborghini’s flame as the Italian sport car manufacturer cranked up it’s manufacturing capabilities from 250 a year to well over 2500 a year.

21-Year Old Crashes Friend's Lamborghini Gallardo

A 21-year-old man driving a Lamborghini Gallardo in Sydney, Australia that he had borrowed from a friend, unfortunately met with an accident involving a taxi traveling in the same direction. Upon impact, both the silver Lamborghini and the taxi ran off the road, with both cars then colliding into a pole.

The driver of the Lamborghini, Will Shao, was stuck for two hours before rescue crews could safely remove him. He suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to hospital along with a 19-year-old female passenger who needed to be treated for a broken leg.

"The first project I did at design school was sponsored by Lamborghini. The theme was ‘raw material' and we were supposed to design Lambo's next supercar," said Tanevski, the 21-year old Macedonian design student who has also worked on sponsored projects for Mini, Volkswagen, Mercedes and BMW.
