Scary Close Call Will Make You Move from Your Chair

Brazilian college student and motorcycle driver Renan Ribas together with his cousin, who was riding at the back, are extremely lucky to be alive after a Volkswagen Polo that had just made a dangerous and foolish pass slid out of control on the BR-280 highway in São Francisco do Sul, this past Saturday, clipping the bike before crashing into another vehicle.

You can actually hear the sound of the German sedan touching the motorcycle in the footage sourced from the rider's helmet camera.

"I was testing the camera for the first time and just taking everything in," Ribas told Brazilian media. "[The] car came in the opposite direction, bumped into me and hit the car behind," he said.

Ferrari 360 Spider Slams Into a Taxi, Driver Makes a Run for It, Slides Again…

Edward brought to our attention this hit-and-run incident involving a yellow Ferrari 360 Spider and a local taxicab from the Kowloon Tong area in Hong Kong that occurred on January 20.

Edward tells us that the Ferrari was seemingly (but not surely) street racing with a VW Scirocco and a BMW Z4, when as you can see from the dash-cam video below, the driver lost control of the 360 Spider and slammed into the taxi.

Instead of doing the right thing, the Ferrari motorist made a run for it, but a few hundred feet later, he lost it…again, performing a 360-degree turn, crashing into the sidewalk next to a gas station. Apparently, no lesson was learned as he abandoned the scene.

"Hong Kong News reported that later, the police found the damaged 360 Spider, but the driver was missing as he had abandoned the car," Edward tells us. "The police were contacted by the owners to assist the investigation."

Michael Schumacher Critical after Ski Accident

7 time Formula 1 World Champion, Michael Schumacher is said to be in critical condition critical and fighting for his life following a horrific ski accident

Michael Schumacher, the seven-time Formula One champion, is in a coma and remains in a "critical" condition after striking his head in a ski accident in the French Alps on Sunday, 29th December 2013, the hospital treating him said. The 44-year-old German was "suffering a serious brain trauma with coma on his arrival, which required an immediate neurosurgical operation", the hospital in the southeast French city of Grenoble said in a statement.

"He remains in a critical condition." Schumacher had been skiing off-piste in the upmarket Meribel ski resort, where he reportedly has a property, when he fell and hit his head on a rock, mountain police who gave him first aid said. He was airlifted to a local hospital, then to the Grenoble facility where a specialist neurosurgeon from Paris, Gerard Saillant was rushed in to oversee his treatment.

New Audi bought with own money: Aston Martin mishap complainant

Phorum Ruparel, the complainant in the Pedder Road accident case involving an Aston Martin earlier this month, denied receiving any compensation as she replaced her damaged Audi 4 with the latest model, the Audi 6, worth at least Rs 40 lakh.

The licence plate of the new car sporting a fancy number (MH03 BJ 6666) triggered a controversy with the RTO saying it was "illegal" as it had not been registered with the transport department. It issued a showcause notice on Thursday.

"There was no compensation involved. My car was declared a total loss and the insurance company was ready to replace my old Audi 4 with a new one. But I put in some more money and I upgraded it to the Audi 6," said Phorum, a 25-year-old student. If she appeared a bit cagey, her mother was categorical. "The new car has been purchased from our own money. Nobody from Reliance approached us," she said.

Kia Driver Flips Over Optima In…Slow Motion

Whoever said that you could seriously damage your vehicle and place yourself in danger only when speeding, apparently didn't take into consideration what we like to call the "1 in a million" factor.

Likely filmed in South Korea (judging from the YouTube video description language and a faint glimpse we get of the license plates), this dash-cam footage shows a driver of a silver Kia Optima who wasn't paying attention to the road and a parked car around a corner.

The motorist hit the other vehicle's bumper while turning, which provided enough energy and momentum to flip it over, almost in slow motion…

Deadly Wisconsin Pileup Involving 70+ Vehicles Caught on Video

Being involved in a pileup must be a frightening experience, because even seeing such an event unfold on video, from the comfort of your own chair, is still quite a distressing image.

All follow the same pattern of one vehicle slowing down, while the first one tailing it can’t shave off speed quickly enough, and after the first rear end collision takes place, many more follow soon, like we see in this big pileup from Wisconsin, shot a few days ago on the southbound side of Highway 41/45 in Germantown.

Paul Walker dead: Video shows shocking aftermath of car crash that killed the US star

Passers by stand and stare at the barely-recognisable remains of the burnt-out Porsche Paul Walker was travelling in when it hit a tree and burst into flames.

This video from the scene of the crash shows the emergency services continuing the clear-up operation following the incident, which took place in Santa Clarita, north of Los Angeles, at about 3.30pm on yesterday.

The charred remains of the red Porsche GT Carrera can be seen wrapped around a tree on the side of the road. The car is barely recognisable.

A cordon has been placed around the crash site but the remains are in full view of pedestrians, who can be seen in the video looking in shock at the horrific wreck.

Where Did This Scooter Rider Come From?

Warning: Some viewers may find the accident scene disturbing

Okay, so here's the thing; we've watched this dash-cam footage of an accident involving a car and a scooter that took place in Taiwan's Kaohsiung City a number of times, but we still haven't figured out where the motorcycle rider came from.

Obviously, we're missing one or more clues from this scene, which would explain how the motorcyclist crashed into / hit the dark-colored sedan on the right hand side.

Unfortunately, the rider appears to be hurt, though we can't say for sure as the footage ends at that point.

Russia's X Driving Files: Was a Man Ejected from the Trunk in this Rear End Crash?

Yes, we have yet another mystery from Russia's roads in our hands, one that calls for an explanation. We'll try our best to offer one, but feel free to watch the following dash-cam video and provide your own.

If you fast-forward the clip (we already did it for you), you'll see an older generation Mercedes-Benz E-ClassW124 saloon crashing into the rear end of what looks like a Lada (mind you, we could be wrong on this one) with a man seemingly ejected from the car's trunk!

Don't worry, it doesn't look like he was hurt or anything as he immediately got up all by himself and ran back to the car to check out the driver and passengers.

Audi Employee Forgets Handbrake, Car Falls and Almost Crushes Him

If by any chance you happen to be employed at a car dealership / service center, you can (and should) put this to your "must-do" list of things to check and complete: always make sure that a parked vehicle is in gear (manual gearbox) or in Park (automatic transmission) and that the handbrake has been pulled all the way up.

What is that you say; "who cares about handbrakes, they're only useful around corners and on the move"? Sure, you can choose to not listen, but don't come back saying we didn't warn you when you fall in the same pickle as this young gentleman from Moscow, Russia.

He did none of the above and look at what happened to him; he almost got killed when an Audi A3 came falling down from a lift...

21-Year Old Crashes Friend's Lamborghini Gallardo

A 21-year-old man driving a Lamborghini Gallardo in Sydney, Australia that he had borrowed from a friend, unfortunately met with an accident involving a taxi traveling in the same direction. Upon impact, both the silver Lamborghini and the taxi ran off the road, with both cars then colliding into a pole.

The driver of the Lamborghini, Will Shao, was stuck for two hours before rescue crews could safely remove him. He suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to hospital along with a 19-year-old female passenger who needed to be treated for a broken leg.

$70,000 BMW destroyed by fire in Stockton

Residents in a south Stockton neighborhood were awoken just after midnight on Saturday when a BMW police suspect was deliberately set on fire exploded.

"My Mom was like what was that, I was like I don't know," said Fateh Singh.

Singh said he looked out his window to see his neighbor's BMW burning. "I thought if it had gotten to the gas tank, , it would have been alot worse."

Car Crash: Lamborghini Murcielago Burned Down After Crash

A Lamborghini Murciélago has been written off due to a crash, followed by a fire. The accident occurred last Saturday in Michigan, where the Italian sports car lost control, slided into a line of trees and burned to the ground.

Luckily the driver escaped with only a bump on the head, but the police has started an investigation which could cause the driver some headache. Two witnesses reported the Lamborghini was racing a “red or orange Toyota-type passenger vehicle” which didn’t stop to help the crashed car.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG crashed in Italy

A Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG supercar has been recently crashed in Italy after the driver lost control of the wheel and left the road.

Where ever there will be exotic cars there will also be exotic car crashes and until people will have to get a different driver’s license before being allowed to drive or own a powerful vehicle, scenes like this will continue to appear. The latest example of such an unfortunate incident is coming from Italy, where a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG has definitely seen better days.

Drivers of Pagani Zonda Killed During crash

The driver of a black Pagani Zonda died yesterday after crashing the Italian supercar at a roundabout in Watford, England. The cause of the crash is yet to be determined, though the bulk of the damage you see in the image above was caused when the Zonda left the road and crashed into metal fencing.  
The deceased driver was a man in his 50s, and was carrying a passenger at the time of the crash. The passenger, another man, aged in his 20s, walked away with only minor injuries.

Ferrari California Burns Down in Poland

Two days ago on the 15th of August, a red Ferrari California burned down in the center of Warsaw, Poland. The Italian sports car was parked on a street named Śliska, close to the Museum of Modern Art.

Luckily nobody was hurt. The fire started at the front of the vehicle. The exact cause of the fire is unknown at this stage. The pictures shown here give a closer look at the final wreckage.

Car Crash: Ford GT MkII Replica Crashes in Tennessee

 Rain is being blamed for an accident involving a Ford GT MkII in Tennessee.It’s believed that the car is replica built by American company Superformance and based on the 1966 Ford GT MkII. According to the owner, he had been travelling along the I-26 when a cloud burst happened. The car simply lost traction at around 45-50mph before hitting the barrier.
