| Cristiano Ronaldo Lamborghini Aventador in Madrid |
One of the best, and the most expensive football player in the world today, Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo bought himself a brand new LamborghiniAventador LP700-4, earlier this Saturday. Ronaldo celebrated his 27th birthday on 5th February 2012, and to make the day even more special, the former Manchester United No 7 player bought the all new Lamborghini Aventador sportscar.
Lamborghini unveiled the Aventador back in 2011 at the Geneva Motor Show. At that time, Lamborghini stated that they have already sold a year's production. It's been almost a year to that announcement and we are sure that the Italian supercar manufacturer has received even more number of bookings for the Aventador by now. Ronaldo would have paid a huge premium to buy the approximately €380,000 sportscar. But money would have been the last thing on Ronaldo's mind, as he is amongst the highest paid footballers in the world today, collecting a €12 million annual salary, excluding advertizing revenue.
Ronaldo reportedly has more than 20 cars in his garage already. Over the years, to name a few, he has been spotted in a Bentley Continental GTC, Porsche Cayenne, Bugatti Veyron, Aston Martin DB9, Rolls Royce Phantom, Audi R8, Ferrari F430, Maserati GranCabrio, and the famous Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano which he crashed near the Manchester Airport, England.
The all new Lamborghini Aventador is powered by a 6.5L V12 engine generating 691 bhp power and 690 Nm torque, that takes the sportscar from 0-100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds and to a top speed of 350 kmph. Lamborghini will build only 4,000 units of Aventador supercar, of which we guess around 1,000 are already sold.
